Fourth of July Pony Betting

Happy Fourth of July, may it be fun healthy and safe. You know what is definitely safe and social distanced. Gambling on the ponies while you crush a million beers for the fourth. You can gamble alone on the couch, you can gamble while at a party and when you win you can give everyone air high fives. In a normal year baseball would be played today. Would probably be betting on that instead. Yet in the drought of sports I have come to find a new gambling love, the ponies, and today there are ten races going on at Belmont.

Actually there’s races going on all over the country. Not just today but every damn day. You can bet on the ponies all day everyday. I don’t recommend it. It’s a slippery slope into gambling addiction. So stick to the fun tracks you degenerate you and gamble on the ponies with me. I’ve got a race by race breakdown for Belmont today of why I’m betting what for the race. Let’s gooooo.

Race 1

Only doing superfectas all day. Every race. All superfectas. Why? Cause the odds are unbelievably high and the minimum bet is extremely low. Pick the top four finishers in the correct order and you can win big. Best option for degenerate gamblers like myself trying to ball on a budget. I’ve got three bets placed race one. No strategy. Just based off the best name. Sure statistics and numbers are helpful but it might as well be magic having the numbers line up with a correct race finish, at least every time. It’s almost just easier to bet on the name. So my bets.

Superfecta 1: 8, 1, 4, 2

Superfecta 2: 12, 4, 8, 1

Superfecta 3: 1, 8, 12, 2

Race 1 is always a crap shoot and none of the ponies had fun enough names to list out.

Race 2

Once again no fun names for the ponies in this race. Don’t worry. You’ll see some awesome names coming in Race 5 and beyond. Also two of the horses are coupled together so I had to bet on the 2 in 1 horse.

Superfecta 1: 2, 6, 9, 8

Superfecta 2: 8, 2, 1 1A, 4

Superfecta 3: 1 1A, 8, 9, 5. 1 and 1A are the two horses that are coupled together. Had to have them win one race. It’s a two in one horse. Must bet.

Race 3

Race three has a bunch of superfectas because only 5 horses are entered. So had to have each horse win.

Superfecta 1: 2, 1, 4, 3

Superfecta 2: 1, 4, 2, 3

Superfecta 3: 5, 4, 1, 3

Superfecta 4: 4, 1, 2, 3

Superfecta 5: 3, 1, 4, 5

Race 4

Closing in on some awesome names. Don’t worry. It’s not just random numbers listed out all weird.

Superfecta 1: 7, 5, 1, 4

Superfecta 2: 1, 4, 5, 2

Superfecta 3: 8, 7, 1, 4

Race 5

Now we get some sweet pony names. How do you not bet on Tiz he the One to win? Oh, and you know I had to bet on American Power winning a race on the Fourth of July.

Superfecta 1: 3(Tiz he the One), 1, 2, 5. Tiz he the One is the One to bet on. Name screams it

Superfecta 2: 1, 4, 5, 2

Superfecta 3: 1 (American Power), 8, 3, 2. I imagine American Power like a Shelby GT500. American muscle and fast as hell. Another potential lock for a win.

Race 6

Superfecta 1: 12 (American Goddess), 16, 13, 8. How do you not bet on American Goddess winning a race on the Fourth of July. Dumb decision not to.

Superfecta 2: 16, 13, 12, 5

Superfecta 3: 13, 12, 16, 10

Race 7

No fun names here. Definitely bet the fun names but none of them are as awesome as American Goddess or American Power.

Superfecta 1: 2, 9, 8, 1

Superfecta 2: 4, 2, 8, 9

Superfecta 3: 1, 4, 2, 9

Race 8

Superfecta 1: 1 (Dream Friend), 2, 8, 7. My Dream Friend would wine a ton of money sports gambling. You have to take him to win. Trust your dream friend.

Superfecta 2: 7, 8, 2, 9

Superfecta 3: 8, 2, 1, 3

Race 9

Superfecta 1: 7 (Mr. Freeze), 3, 2, 1. Mr. Freeze is an iconic name. You can expect a horse named this to either leave the rest of the competition in its icy dust, or frozen in last. I’m thinking Mr. Freeze will be as fast as an Avalanche.

Superfecta 2: 3, 5, 7, 8

Superfecta 3: 4, 3, 5, 7

Race 10. The final

Big sad with race ten as you have no awesome names to pick from. You get some decent names, but nothing Fourth of July related to guarantee a win. So here we go.

Superfecta 1: 1, 5, 7, 8

Superfecta 2: 2, 1, 7, 8

Superfecta 3: 1, 4, 2, 7

Superfecta 4: 3, 2, 1, 4

There you have it. My comprehensive guide on how to bet on the ponies at Belmont today. May the odds be in your favor and have safe and fun Fourth of July. Wear a mask so we can have more sports than horse racing to bet on.
