The NFL should broadcast a game on Nickelodeon every year. The game was horrible. But the broadcast was so much fun it more than made up for how bad the game was. The slime all over the field was an acid trip and truly reminded you that football is a fun game to watch. It also kind of reminded you that football is just a game. And Nickelodeon made this boring ass game fun to watch.
I’m not saying the NFL should do this every single week. But they for sure need to do this once a year. Cause even though the game was boring the broadcast itself was so much fun. There was nothing better than seeing the slime cannons go off when the rare touchdown happened. They made a low scoring game fun. And all the slime was a huge nostalgia trip. Back to the days when you were a kid and your dream was to get slimed on Nickelodeon. And the NFL broadcasting a game on Nickelodeon let Sean Payton live out that childhood dream.
As if the slime cannons, slime first down line, and slime red zone wasn’t enough they went and slimed Sean Peyton too. And if the NFL having a game on Nickelodeon once a year means that a coach gets slimed after a win then I am all here for it. Because the nostalgia trip was so much fun, and the NVP trophy that Nickelodeon gave out was hilarious.
Although the trophy wasn’t funny or anything like that. No, what was funny about the NVP trophy is that two podcasters hijacked the voting to make sure that Mitchel Trubisky won. And they did it.
Even though Mitchel Trubisky and the Bears lost by three scores Mitch was still able to win the NVP. An accomplishment that will truly go down in the annals of football history. And it was the cherry that topped off an extremely fun NFL Nickelodeon broadcast. Definitely needs to be done at least once a year.
